Hi, my name is Tom, I’m 24 years young and live in Essex, England. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, hand holding, romance novels, skinny dipping and bareback horse rides… ;)

Anyway... :?

Many moons ago; in a time when Trump was just a tower, Bluetooth was the pinnacle of technology and taurens didn’t have a mount ([Plainsrunning]), I cautiously stepped foot into the world of Azeroth for the very first time. Needless to say, I did not think this would be a significant moment of my life. Thankfully though, this was the start of a glorious 6 year addiction.

My peek was during TBC on a little back alley server called Sunstrider; aptly nicknamed ‘Lagstrider’ for its criminally dire latency. This is where I played more hours than not and was privy to raiding alongside some of the top guilds. I founded a reputation and was known among the server's little community - life was good.

Towards the end of Wrath the real world caught up with me, school ended and I was forced to get a job. Having spent so long in Azeroth all I had to my name was mild carpal tunnel, 4 level 80s and ‘l33t pvp skillz’. Luckily these are the exact qualifications that a software developer requires so I promptly started a career in programming.

Unfortunately landing a job changed things. I no longer had time to play and slowly faded from the world… of Warcraft. From that point I was officially done playing - I have continued reading patch notes, playing the odd free game time week and I regularly contribute to the WoW modding communities though.

One fateful day, almost two years ago, Beard came windmilling into my life. We regaled stories of Warcraft; of the epic quests, the harrowing grinds and of course the guild shenanigans. After Beard re-subbed he began the process of convincing (read threatening) me to return. I'm unashamed to admit peer pressure prevailed.

So here I am to start afresh, albeit casually, with you lovely people… and Beard! Life is good again :D

Tldr; Beta – WotLK, 7 years afk, professional food eater, the guild tabard brings out my eyes
